Well bad news for liberals Chief Justice Roberts did not expire from his seizure. Although there was a plethora of negative sentiments regarding his condition posted on the left-o-sphere by the web maggots. The Chief Justice is just fine and returning to hid vacation.
It is very sad that these misguided clowns feel that because they are protected by the anonymity of there web identities they can post such vile comments. Its worse that they are given the forum to do so. Sadly, there are plenty of places tucked away in plain sight on the net that allow these morons the venue.
The irritating thing is half of these maggots would never in a million years say the things that they write on these websites in person. They are very brave sitting alone in the dark clicking away at their keyboard in their mothers basement. But if you were to put them in a forum where they have to defend their sick views in "persona" they would probably just sit there with a stupid look on their faces and spit running down their chins.
It is sad that there are people like this. They have always been here. Its an unfortunate by product of the Internet that they now have a venue to spew their idiotic comments.

Winning the War???
Monday, July 30, 2007

Astonishing only if you have ignored other sources of information that are available covering the Iraq story. Astonishing if all you are exposed to is the drumbeat of defeat handed out daily by CNN, ABC, CBS and NBC. Astonishing if you are pessimist.
Granted we are a long way from stabilizing Iraq and providing an environment were this fledgling democracy can protect itself. However it is encouraging to see a democrat leaning member of the press put aside the "party line" and tell the truth.
As I have believed all along retreat from Iraq is not an option. We have to remain until the Iraqi's are capable of governing themselves. It will be the people of that nation that, in the end, will make this endeavor a success or failure. It is their decision to make. Our stake in this is to prevent opponents of freedom from aborting it before there is chance for it to succeed.
Reports like this show that the current tactics we are employing are beginning show signs of promise. Iraqi's that were opposed to us are now beginning to help us. This glimmer of hope deserves that we stay the course and see it through.
I sincerely hope that we as a nation will put aside the vitriol and lend to the solution instead of being apart of the problem. We have a chance to succeed, we should embrace that chance.

Times Poll Conundrum
Sunday, July 29, 2007

It amazes me how the left wing institutions treat polling data as news. Like it is the Gospel according to the Times. Unless they show something "counter intuitive", as Jane Elder of the Times, put it. Then its marginalized and basically ignored.
Personally, I have about as much faith in opinion polls as I do the weather forecast. They have a lot in common though. Both are guesses at best and usually only about 10% accurate.

War IS Hell
Saturday, July 28, 2007

I don't know if what Beachamp claims happened, some of it sounds a bit over the top. This I can say, there are many ways to express your views. Using a publication like "New Republic" with its dubious past wouldn't have been my first choice.
It cannot be expected for anyone who never served in the Armed Forces to understand it. However, It should be expected for them to respect the men and women who have elected to serve. I personally was in Iraq during Desert Storm and other missions that I cannot speak of. Until you have endured the requirements of military service in combat you have no idea. You should keep that in mind if you haven't.
I am having a hard time believing this kid is any more or less a soldier than those he writes of. I disagree with how he has expressed himself, strongly disagree. However, I cannot label him a traitor like some other folks on the Right have. Violated the chain of command? Yes. But Traitor? No.
That aside we must understand, these 18,19 and 20 year old men and women are stepping into a situation that 90% of their own fellow citizens avoid like the plague. It takes a special person to do this, no matter the comonly believed underlying reasons for joining the service; money, respect, thrill, ideology, etc.
Do not patronize their abilities to make these decisions. When I enlisted I was never pressed by any recruiter to do so, and that was 26 years ago when the military was in desperate shape. Even at 18, I knew as these kids knew, what the decision represents.
I resent the uniformed idiots who elude that these kids are duped into joining by the money, or through misrepresentation. That is simply not true. I'll concede that they may not fully understand the gravity of their choice. Does anyone when they initially make a decision of this magnitude? Suggesting there is some form of deliberate subterfuge in the process is simply over reaching.
Try getting into their shoes. While they endure the horrors of combat they come in contact with things they can't understand. Why was I spared, when the guy next to me wasn't? How can someone smile to my face, then go up the road and plant a bomb that is designed to kill me?
Come on folks is it any wonder that atrocities happen during war? When you see buddies cut ribbons by the enemy, It's easy to lose it and misplace the blame. I am not excusing or condoning any behavior like that which Beauchamp reports or the fact he reported it. The cold hard fact is its War. Atrocities happen in War. Things go wrong, emotions get out of hand. So spare us your righteous indignation and allow the authorities to determine if any wrongdoing happened.
Besides Iraq isn't the only place atrocities have happened in this war. What about the hypocrites in this nation that call themselves anti-war? The ones that salivate every time a story like Beauchamp's hits the media. They decry the death toll of our soldiers, when most of them live in cities where more Americans die on the streets in six months from criminals than in the nearly six years we have fought in Iraq. Its not about lives being lost or we would see them marching on Washington about homicide rates. No.... you won't see them do that, any sooner than you will see them help their own law enforcement police their own streets either.
They will condemn the right wingers for calling a Beauchamp, traitor, yet demand the head of any soldier involved in what they call "atrocities". Don't you think that the same soldiers are deserving of the same understanding as they would have given to a Beauchamp? No, of course not, they are automatically baby killers. In their world allegations of atrocities are to be believed without question, to hell with the rights of the accused.
Some of the things the Left screams out to be "atrocities" are no worse in substance than some of the so called "hazing" that college sororities exact on plebes. And certainly no worse than the cruelty that is seen daily in American society. Where are the cries against those atrocities?
So stop feigning intellectual superiority at the expense of these young men and women. Especially if you are the same people that go to movies filled with worse violence than has been seen from any of our soldiers.
War is all Hell. General Sherman said that as he ordered Atlanta burned. War is what it is. Its not pretty, its not to be admired, it doesn't make sense. Neither does half of the other activities that humans do to one another. War is what it is. War.

Disturbing
Friday, July 27, 2007

This is 2007, yet there are still precincts in states that use paper ballots and do not require voters to identify themselves. The latter infuriates me the most. In my particular state you are required to show a picture identification. What is wrong with that? No one can say they do not have access to one. In many states if you cannot obtain a driver license they will provide you a state picture ID for free or for a small fee. Yet, there are states that have no requirements for them to be shown at the polls.
And isn't a bit condemning that the special interest groups, like ACORN, are also the ones who are opposed to picture ID requirements and motor voter registration? Given the fact that had an ID been required in the states were this flap happened, the likelihood of those false registrations being submitted would most likely not have occurred. It makes their stand on this issue seem a bit dubious.
The entire idea that we need groups like ACORN running around registering voters stinks of partisanship. Voting is a constitutional right and is a personal responsibility. WE should be responsible to ensure that WE are registered to vote, and especially not some partisan group. Thats my two cents.

Dow Ow!
Thursday, July 26, 2007

Percentage wise this doesn't count as a market correction. Corrections normally are a 10% or more drop, this drop was shy of 4%. And even after the drop the DOW is still up over 8% for the year. A great yearly gain and the year is barely half over.
The bottom line is that pessimist look at the drop as a sign of something bad. Which is the reason the press goes nuts over it. Its bad news. And they are the masters of airing bad news.

Poor "Po Folks"
Wednesday, July 25, 2007

What gets me fired up is the rhetoric that snake oil salesmen like John Edwards and his ilk use to traffic this class envy nonsense. Get this straight, a con man like Edwards has no interest in your social class, he has an interest in your vote, and that is as far as he will go. He can spew all the nonsense he wants about "The Two Americas" but if he were truly interested in helping the "poor" he walk across the street from his 25,000 square foot North Carolina mansion and help those folks living in the trailer park out. You judge a tree by the fruit it bears, and the only fruit on Edwards tree, goes by the name of Danny Glover.
Believe the stats you hear about poverty from the "experts" if you like. But they are all subjective, it depends on the perspective. If your numbers compare everyone to Bill Gates standard of living, then we all live in poverty. I could give a flying lugnut about stats and numbers. I would much rather be a poor man in the United States than a rich man in any other nation. I know that in America we can work hard and move up in status. I have!! Why can't anyone else? Am I special, privileged, or subsidized by Exxon-Mobil....? Hell no. I just don't buy the pessimism that says the divide between the "haves" and the "have-nots" can't be breached. Thanks be to God there are still other people in this nation that beleieve what I believe.
I am disheartened that there are people of this nation fail, or won't, see the great opportunity they have living here, no matter their status. If they could see the things I have seen with my own two eyes they would never, ever feel that way. And people like Edwards should be ashamed for fostering that despair.

Rays of Lights
Tuesday, July 24, 2007
Thanks dedicated and honest men like Michael Yon and Michael Totten that are on the ground in Iraq we are starting see some very good signs that the strategy of General Petraeus is working. Totten reports that the unit he is embedded with in Baghdad has not sustained a casualty since January. They are currently spending more time building soccer fields and installing solar street lights than fighting insurgents.
Michael Yon is a bit more guarded in his optimism, but very vocal in his condemnation of the mainstream press ignoring the advances which have been made. Of course the crickets are chirping on the mainstream news outlets, but they were able to scrounge up a bombing that killed 17.

Anti-War Lunatics
Monday, July 23, 2007

We've all seen and heard Mother Sheehan, she is now ticked off with the Dems and is running against Nancy Pelosi for her seat in Congress. This was spawned by Speaker Pelosi's lack of attention to matter of bringing articles of impeachment against the President. So she is going to take matters into her own hand. Of course I am not sure how much of campaign she can mount with only the $25,000.00 she received from the selling of Camp Crawford.
How about Whitney Brown? Maybe you remember the name from Saturday Night Live, he used sit opposite Dennis Miller during the news parodies. Just today the fine Mr. Brown posted a dairy entry on DailyKOS:
"But do I still support the individual men and women who have given so much to serve their country? No. I think they’re a bunch of idiots. I also think they’re morally retarded. Because they sign a contract that says they will kill whoever you tell me to kill. And that is morally retarded. "
Lastly, Senior Airman Jonathan Schrieken. This young 22 year old hero was shot in the chest at point blank range with a small caliber weapon outside of his home on July the 4th. The shooter another 22 year old male, who's name I will not even acknowledge, then turned the gun on himself and committed suicide. During the ensuing investigation suicide notes were found stating his radical anti-war beliefs and how he "despised the Bush Administration and wanted to kill a soldier, to make a splash on the 4th." Fortunately, this slug didn't get his wish, Sra Schrieken was not killed. Johnathan remains hospitalized and his condition is day to day.
Actions of these ant-war radicals are well beyond the pale. When a man is driven to attempt to murder a military member because of "ideological" differences with our nation's policies they have progressed well past the tinfoil hat wearing stage. I fear that even worse awaits.

Party of Trial Lawyers
With the defeat Friday of the "John Doe" amendment by Senate Democrats they have once proven they are the party of useless litigation. Campaign donation records clearly show more trial attorneys donate to Democrat candidates than the GOP. And it shows clearly with this action. The vote was almost totally down party lines with the only defection being Snowe (R -ME).
The "Joe Doe" amendment would have provided legal protection for citizens like the people that reported the "Flying Imams" from being sued. The politics of this is maddening. Liberals would allow common U.S. citizens to be sued for doing what the government is telling them to do, "report suspicious acts to the authorities". Yet, scream to high heaven when one of their bureaucratic pundits entrenched in a government agency is chastised for leaking sensitive information to the New York Times. Oh the duplicity.
Personally, I could care less. If I see a clown, or clowns in the imam's case, acting suspcious they will get reported. If the ACLU would like to sue me then so be it. I'll just apply a simple equation my Daddy taught me; (t-b=n) ( t = turnip, b = blood, n = natta).

OMG! Cheney is President!!
Saturday, July 21, 2007
Today just a little after 7 a.m EST the reigns of Presidential authority were handed to Dick Cheney and all over the nation liberals are glued to there televisions in anticipation of an impending nuclear strike against Iran and declaration of martial law. Listening to the coverage its getting you would think the President handed the authority to Hitler. Oh wait, that's what liberals believe Cheney is.
Actually it is sickening, there is veritably no mention of why the President ceded authority temporarily. His colonoscopy is mentioned almost as an after thought. I've only found one article that even mentions why he is having the procedure. A procedure normally performed in 10 year intervals, his last was 2002.
I have to admit I love how the President issued the order via a letter House and Senate leaders and didn't set an expiration time and date. He instructed them that he will issue another letter when authority is to be returned to him. I'd like to believe that he did that just to mess with the Left-O's. I'm sure there is a logical reason but its fun to suppose.
I sincerely hope everything turns out fine and the President takes back executive powers soon, If not libs are going to start passing out from holding their collective breath. Wolf Blitzer looks like he is turning blue already and I hear that Pelosi has called an emergency session of Congress to file articles of impeachment.

Home Grown Nutjobs
Friday, July 20, 2007

Perhaps its because all you have to do is listen to 30 seconds of these zealots speak and it is easy to see. Spend just an hour surfing the "Left-o-sphere" and you will be pelted with barb after barb of hateful comments directed against this nation and its "draconian" policies. These people misplaced convictions could easily transform into violence. Why? Because they are committed, or should be, to an institution.
I don't believe that Al Gore or RFK Jr. are radicals, although I wonder about the latter given some of his recent statements. What I do believe is that if violence is done upon Americans in the name of "Climate Change" they both will side step any responsibility for inflaming the perpetrators with their irresponsible rhetoric that they spew. That is the liberal way. They can say what ever they want. But, if I disagree, Then I'm an ignorant, misinformed, close-minded, bigot that is destroying the world, a traitor.
When I read and hear things these nutjobs write and say its hard for me delineate between their vitriol and what a thousand other insane people have said throughout history. A threat is a threat. I don't care if it does come from a Harvard educated person. All that proves is that Harvard from time to time produces a nut.
If conservatives win the Presidency in 2008 and regain Congress, I am convinced that we will turn on the news and hear something like this:
- Oregon Lumber Company CEO thought to have been beheaded by members of radical "Tree Hugger Jihad". - OR -
- Progressives storm Supreme Court chambers after controversial reversal of Rowe vs Wade Decision, Justice Thomas hospitalized in fair condition. - OR -
- An attempt was made on the Presidents life today by members of GORE, the Global Organization of Radical Enviro-nuts.
I'm joking, a little, but I am fairly concerned that this nation is approaching an ideological flash point. It's not like it hasn't happened before. Fringe groups have resorted to the violent option before in this country. Does S.L.A or the name Patricia Hearst ring a bell?

We Are Staying
Thursday, July 19, 2007

What happens in Iraq will determine how we are viewed worldwide. We need not forget that we are coming off a long string of "cut and runs", Vietnam, Lebanon, Somalia, we cannot add Iraq to that list. View the past to see the future. Vietnam was a mess after we abandoned Saigon re-education camps and retaliatory killings. As for Lebanon and Somalia, just look at the news these areas are ruled by corruption and seats of terrorism local and global.
Truthfully, we will not be leaving Iraq anytime soon. We remained in Saudi Arabia years after Desert Storm and still have a small number of forces there today. The same will hold true in Iraq. The United States is currently building large military installations in several provinces of Iraq. There will be a draw down, we with remove large numbers of combat forces. But, we will have a presence in Iraq for many, many years to come. To think otherwise is naive.
As long as the economic livelihood of this nation remains tied to Mid East oil we have to maintain a presence. We thought we had that in the wake of Desert Storm. I was there, I saw the investment in Saudi military infrastructure in order to establish a permanent presence. It didn't work, It didn't work because because of the same radicals we are dealing with now. Remember that 11 of the WTC plane terrorists were Saudi Nationals. The Saudis are no particular friends.
We can only hope that the Iraqi's will be friends, I think they can, but there is a lot of water walking that needs to be done. There is much bad blood that has to be dealt with and there in lies the rub. The United States doesn't have the patience as a nation to see this through.
My question if we do not have the patience to finish what we started, do we have the patience to deal with what happens. Will Americans be so patient when they are paying $8.00 a gallon. If we leave and this region implodes that is exactly what we are facing. And who knows what the real impact on our economy be.

I Have a Headache
Wednesday, July 18, 2007
The White House says "Hey, Look we got this guy.... He's associated with UBL.... He runs Al Qaeda Iraq!" and the Democrats, the media and their analysts say...... aw you know what they say. That is why I have a headache.
The politics of this struggle is sometimes overwhelming. So much so that its getting to the point that its difficult for a common American like myself to get the truth. Here is what frustrates me, if the White House knew this information as soon as they nabbed this clown why did they wait until the day after Harry's sleep over to make it public.
It just seems too convenient, besides it fuels the pundits of the Left and gives them a reason to marginalize the information. I don't like criticizing the President, so I am not, I'm just going to go take some Advil.

Bumbling Idiots
Tuesday, July 17, 2007

Without a veto proof majority this continual barrage from armchair generals in the Congress is going no where. The President has been very clear, very vocal and very often. No Withdrawal. But that will do little reign these nutroot pandering politicians from relentlessly harassing the White House.
Its good to see the President hitting back too. Loved the intrusion into the GOP policy meeting unannounced. And running Fran Townsend out today with excerpts from the last National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) was a great move. Love it when a lame duck flaps its wings.
Unfortunately, all this political wrangling means that absolutely nothing of value is going to acted upon in the House or the Senate. The Dems have circled there wagons around the white flag, along with a few RINOs, and are content with lobbing useless legislation and subpoenas at the White House.
The likelihood of any of this changing is about as likely as Harriet Miers showing up to Chucky Schumers witch hunt. Pathetic.

Unscientific Political Research
Monday, July 16, 2007

He is a registered democrat who voted for Ronald Reagan twice. Could this be the return of the Reagan supporters to the GOP? I don't know but this I do, I haven't found anyone in the circle of people that I run who supports Obama or Hillary. Probably says more about the circle I run in, than the feel of the electorate, nonetheless I figure I should find at least one.
Not even my feminist, liberal, nut, sister supports Hillary or Obama. Obama I can understand, but Hillary? That is surprising considering my sister's politics. Of course she is far from being a mainstream democrat too. In a recent e-mail she told me she had watched a democrat debate and liked Mike Gravel. That says it all.

Fredhead
Sunday, July 15, 2007

I remember seeing Thompson on the Senate floor years ago delivering a speech on a budget issue. I was impressed with him then and I am even more impressed with him now. He's the type of guy that makes you feel instantly at ease and has a great presence.
I loved the way he recently brushed off the allegations of supporting a pro abortion group. That is the kind of reply to the press that Mr. Reagan would have given. Not that I would advocate Fred being compared to a Ronald Reagan, He's Fred and needs to be Fred.
The only complaint I have is that he has not been as vocal on issue stances as I would have liked to hear. I am supposing that he is waiting until his declaration to run. Which is fine. I'm looking forward to hearing from him what I already believe. That he is a true conservative.
Fred you have the Old Boy's vote.

Michael Moore
Saturday, July 14, 2007

Now, I am not in the best shape of my life and judging by the last time I saw him, he isn't either. I don't believe either of us sets a good example as authority on health care. In fact certain arguments could be made that we "ample" souls contribute to its problems. My take is Moore doesn't care about health care, he cares about changing the system to fit his ideology.
Look at his films. "Roger and Me" he attacks GM and free enterprise, "Bowling for Columbine" he attacks gun ownership, "Fahrenheit 911" he questions executive powers and attacks the office of the President, and now "Sicko" were he promotes socialized health care.
Is the US health care system in need of reform? Yes. Do we need to create a trillion dollar a year government run health care system? No. If you look at examples of how our government is doing running health related services, you have to agree. VA hospitals, medicare, both filled with waste and poor administration. Do we as a nation really want our health care administrated by the same clowns. I would hope you'd say no.
There are ways to help out the system. They involve using the market, not destroying it with socialization. Reign in the prescription drug industry and deregulate the health insurance industry. Remove draconian regulations that prevent the best and most cost effective companies from providing coverage across the country. Allow people to maintain health savings accounts funded by pre-tax dollars.
Should National health care become reality, Moore will be happy for another reason. After its instituted it won't be long before he has plenty of fodder for another movie.

Fruit Loops
Friday, July 13, 2007

This stuff just infuriates me. Mainly because our idiot media gives it air play. Why? because its credible? Or because it further defames the administration? The latter is probably the more likely case.
Its hard to believe that people actually subscribe to this vitriol. But they do, there are whole websites dedicated to revising history and spreading this nonsense. Bush brought down the twin towers to sway public attention from the 2000 election. Yep put the whole plot together in a mere 6-7 months. And this theory comes from the same people that call the president an idiot. I don't think a mere idiot could pull off a major coup like that.
Not to mention that this would have taken a massive number of people to accomplish. C'mon folks, this President can't even fart without some bureaucrat calling the New York Times and leaking what it smelled like. Speaking of the Times, I'd say its safe to say that they would spare no press to print a story implicating this President in a conspiracy..... as of yet even they haven't sank that low. Why? Because there is no conspiracy.
You really have to have a screw loose to believe this stuff. Right Rosie?

Record Economic Data.... Crickets Chirping
Thursday, July 12, 2007
Record low jobless numbers, Dow Jones surging, and leading indicators show no immediate downturn in sight. Yet turn on CNN, ABC, CBS and you hear.... the complete antithesis. SO what gives? Who is lying?
Certainly not the stock market with its record setting pace. And that is good news for 70% of the people in U.S. considering that means your 401K is doing great. So why isn't this getting air play? I hate to think that its Bush Derangement Syndrome among the media, but its difficult to NOT draw that conclusion. Its even sadder if it is true. Would it kill these people to give us folks a little good news? Even if it does give the President a pat on the back.

Traitors?
Wednesday, July 11, 2007

So is this what the climate change nuts are resorting to? If you don't believe them you are liars and traitors to humanity. Its not surprising though. According to the liberals If you oppose nationalized health care your "inhumane", Oppose homosexuality you are a "bigot", and now if you oppose the radical climate change agenda you are a "traitor". Amazing.
A thinking man has to be a bit dubious of any cause who's cornerstone proof is a consensus of scientists claiming that the science is in. In the days of Magellan there was a consensus that the world was flat. Earlier peers of these same scientists claimed there was global cooling and that we entering another ice age. So the "global consensus" does very little to sway me.
Further, whats with the strong arm tactics, seems a little UN-liberal like. Those tactics are the very thing they have accused this administration of employing. Besides whats wrong with debate? You telling me there are no credible dissenting opinions anywhere in the would. Oh c'mon Francis, get real.
What real does me in is not the notion of global warming, but the clowns that are its main advocates. Kennedy, Gore..... Madonna? Can't the Left come up with a better crew of enviro-evangelicals than these people?
SOOO the bottom line is that I must be traitor too. Of coursing having a liberal label me a traitor can't be that bad. I mean look how they want to treat terrorists.... their treatment of traitors must be a cake walk.

Here They Go Again....

Congress is back in session on their grueling 2 Day a week legislative schedule. And first order of business.... immigration? make tax cuts permanent? Nope... Iraq. No surprise the liberals have been very vocal in the last week about pushing the issue. Armed with a "draft" report and fresh Gallup poll numbers away they go.
Maybe this is the new attack Ayman Al-Zawahiri was speaking of in his latest propaganda flick. Just seems uncanny how he comes out with a new videos and then the Democrat leadership hoist the white flag, with the help of there dedicated henchmen in the news media.
Why don't the major news media spend as much time covering the actual stories of our troops on the ground as they do these idiots in our Congress? If they did we might actually know what is happening, instead of being feed a steady diet of how terrible things are.

Old Media.... Phooey
Monday, July 09, 2007
I just read a post on Hot Air about the LA Times article alleging that Fred Thompson represented a pro-abortion group during his lobbyist days in 1991. I read the article yesterday and now I see what the hub bub is. The article has changed since I read it and there is no corrections or changes referenced.
Hot Air article: http://hotair.com/archives/2007/07/09/facts-disappearing-without-a-trace-from-lat-bombshell-on-freds-abortion-lobbying/
I don't know what happened, and I just don't care. I don't know if the LAT is engaged in a smear attempt on Thompson, it doesn't matter. To me its just another example of why the old media is not were I get my news. I just don't feel they are unbiased, especially when the President is involved and especially on the issue of Iraq.
There are journalists in the field like Michael Yon who are doing a yeoman's job. He is covering the story like the old media should. But if they did it wouldn't be the same drumbeat "we have to get out, we have to get out." Yon's reporting is much different he reports on the atrocities these Islamic nuts are committing and how the Iraqi people are trying, even if their useless government is not..... Sounds almost like the relationship between we Americans and our government.

After sitting on the coffee table for over a week, I dusted the dog hair of of Dick Morris's book Outrage yesterday and not been able to put it down. So far I think the title Outrage is a bit tame for the information he reveals, "Disgusting" would be a more operative title.
So far I found the chapter covering immigration enthralling. From the total ineptness of our government for 20 years to deal with illegals, to the politics. He raises valid points that building fences is an ineffective measure if nothing is done to stop the legal visitors who come to this nation and overstay their visas. According to his sources this front door illegal immigration accounts for 50% of all illegals and 90% of illegals from middle eastern nations.
The politics are also amazing, how the Clinton administration pushed through applications for citizenship just in time for 1996 elections. And after an audit it was discovered that in New York and LA 99% and 90% of the applications had errors, some of which allow felons convicted of murder and rape to become citizens. Also how Hillary Clinton opposed a plan to use law enforcement officers to verify citizenship during traffic stops, because she feared it was racial profiling and would damage the 96 election bid for Bill.
What really stirs me is the part of the chapter dealing with 9/11 terrorists and how most of them were here illegally and no one made any attempt to find them, let alone deport them even though two of them were on the terrorist watch list. Indeed Outrageous!
So far an excellent book.... more to come.

Where are the Patriots?
Saturday, July 07, 2007
Would John Adams still proclaim aloud?
As he once did in a Boston crowd,
Of Liberty and Freedom and Life’s great pursuit,
Knowing they would give way to the bitter fruit,
Of vanity and corruption that rule today,
Where the Patriots dreams have lost there sway.
Where the beautiful and rich are handed fame,
And favor is granted on the basis of your name.
Where destiny is made and fortune is taken,
Where morals are absent and honor forsaken.
Where religion has cheapened God’s power and grace,
And self outweighs selflessness at an alarming pace.
Where the worship of God has waning support,
Because of the ruling of some foolish court.
Where are the Patriots that once guided this land?
We need them today to make a stand.
To restore honor and virtue to this weary nation
And revitalize the Founding Fathers creation.
Where are the Patriots that will guide this land?
Look in the mirror, and take a stand.

I Remember... Do You?
Friday, July 06, 2007

“As a member of the House Intelligence Committee, I am keenly aware that the proliferation of chemical and biological weapons is an issue of grave importance to all nations. Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process." -- Nancy Pelosi, December 16, 1998
“We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction." -- Ted Kennedy, September 27, 2002
"Iraq does pose a serious threat to the stability of the Persian Gulf and we should organize an international coalition to eliminate his access to weapons of mass destruction. Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to completely deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power."
-- Al Gore, 2002

“In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including Al Qaeda members, though there is apparently no evidence of his involvement in the terrible events of September 11, 2001. It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons. Should he succeed in that endeavor, he could alter the political and security landscape of the Middle East, which as we know all too well affects American security."

Shrill-ary Clinton.....
Thursday, July 05, 2007

Is it just me or is it Hillary Clinton. I can only take a few sound bites of her high pitch squealing before I have to stop listening. Everyone I talk to seems to have the same visceral reaction when they hear her.
I think it is a direct result of the divorce rate in America, she reminds divorced men of their ex wives.

Happy 231ist Birthday America!
Wednesday, July 04, 2007

"When in the course of Human Events...." I wonder if Thomas Jefferson had any inkling when he penned those world changing words 231 years ago what the nation he helped bring into existence would become? A rhetorical question, for if he and the Constitutional Congress would have seen, they would've been clearer in defining some very key points. Ones that couldn't be twisted and turned by Liberal Courts.
Being a constitutionalist, I believe deeply in the rule of Law. Additionally I believe in the Almighty and the Saviour Jesus. My faith states that without either a civil and safe society cannot exist. That is what the founding fathers of this great nation sought, a nation of freedom tempered by fair and just laws where men and women could worship God as they see fit. They knew and understood the importance of just laws..... and God.
It amazes me that Americans take for granted the rule of law that protects them each day. And the number, seemingly growing, of people that have contempt for it. A shadowy part of our society believes law is good until it obstructs their own pursuits. They see rules that hinder them and therefore disrespect them.
Respect is a term appropriately ascribed to the treatment of Law. Without respect laws can not work. A law cannot stop a murder or rape if the person committing the act has no respect of the legal repercussions. Without it the deterrent of punishment will not stop the violator from committing the act either.
What does stop the act is what men like Jefferson understood. The missing and misunderstood component of law.... morals. Laws are meant to be reflections of morality not the other way around. A moral person will not rape an 8 year old child. Laws only protect us if the morality of people that makes them are high. And morals in turn generate respect for the Law.
Morality in this nation is a seemly waning commodity. No longer are the generations being taught its importance on a broad basis. The morality of 231 years ago is vastly different than the morality of today. For instance, In those days a man's honor was important. Laws reflected it. Today honor is a lost concept, a relic in most parts of our society. Americans have become self-absorbed, "as long as it pleases me who cares about anyone else". Sacrifice isn't in the vocabulary of most Americans, yet another anachronism of a by gone era.
These virtues all have the same source, they are all tenets of Christianity. The people of 1776 were not only Nation Builders, Statesmen and Patriots, they where Christians. They were taught from a young age to be honorable, honest, and sacrifice for the greater good.... they had high morals. No coincidence that they were devout bible fearing men and woman.
This nation was founded by Christian men and Christian morality. The laws of our nation reflect that and it is a deluded fool that denies the fact. Nothing Liberals and Atheists can do will ever change that...... all they can do is change and influence our legal system today....... if we allow them.

And Now A Word From The President.....
Tuesday, July 03, 2007

..... "First, I want to make some general comments about pardons and commutations of sentences. Article II of the Constitution gives the president broad and unreviewable power to grant "Reprieves and Pardons" for all offenses against the United States. The Supreme Court has ruled that the pardon power is granted "[t]o the [president] . . ., and it is granted without limit" (United States v. Klein). Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes declared that "[a] pardon . . . is . . . the determination of the ultimate authority that the public welfare will be better served by [the pardon] . . ." (Biddle v. Perovich). A president may conclude a pardon or commutation is warranted for several reasons: the desire to restore full citizenship rights, including voting, to people who have served their sentences and lived within the law since; a belief that a sentence was excessive or unjust; personal circumstances that warrant compassion; or other unique circumstances."
The exercise of executive clemency is inherently controversial. The reason the framers of our Constitution vested this broad power in the Executive Branch was to assure that the president would have the freedom to do what he deemed to be the right thing, regardless of how unpopular a decision might be. Some of the uses of the power have been extremely controversial, such as President Washington's pardons of leaders of the Whiskey Rebellion, President Harding's commutation of the sentence of Eugene Debs, President Nixon's commutation of the sentence of James Hoffa, President Ford's pardon of former President Nixon, President Carter's pardon of Vietnam War draft resisters, and President Bush's 1992 pardon of six Iran-contra defendants, including former Defense Secretary Weinberger, which assured the end of that investigation."

Libby Free
Monday, July 02, 2007

In a widely popular move the President commuted the prison sentence for Scooter Libby today. The adulation from the Democrat leadership and campaign candidates over the move made it difficult for them to contain their kind and loving comments.....yea right.
I am so sick of political rhetoric.... and the Libby case was filled to overflowing with it. I am still trying to figure out how a case that started out as a search for facts on whether "Bush Lied" ended up with the prosecution of Libby for not remember facts correctly... and gets 30 months. Clinton obstructs justice and commits perjury and gets..............
Poor Paris, she was mistreated and given an unjust sentence.

A Friend's Son
Sunday, July 01, 2007
I used to work for a foreign national from Denmark. He has a son that has been trying for 10 years to become a naturalized citizen. To date he is still trying. Recently he came to visit the "Old Sage" to ask me advice about joining the Army.
I was struck by the fact that he was kid living in this country, came here legally, lives here legally and is seriously considering volunteering joining our armed services..... in the middle of a war ...... yet he's been unable to become a naturalized citizen.
We discussed a lot of things during his visit about the military and it became apparent to me that he was more of a patriot than 90% of kids his age born in the U.S. I wondered how he felt concerning the bill that was making its way through Congress... the answer was in Danish and not fit for print and rightly so. The fact that here is a young man that genuinely is seeking to become part of this great nation and can't because of our screwed up immigration law is a travesty.
