SO our illustrious Senate is pulling an all nighter. For what? There isn't any chance that Democrats will be able to breach the 60 votes needed to pass the latest "Surrender" Bill. Instead of wasting our money, spend the night calling your constituents. Then you might have a clue.Without a veto proof majority this continual barrage from armchair generals in the Congress is going no where. The President has been very clear, very vocal and very often. No Withdrawal. But that will do little reign these nutroot pandering politicians from relentlessly harassing the White House.
Its good to see the President hitting back too. Loved the intrusion into the GOP policy meeting unannounced. And running Fran Townsend out today with excerpts from the last National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) was a great move. Love it when a lame duck flaps its wings.
Unfortunately, all this political wrangling means that absolutely nothing of value is going to acted upon in the House or the Senate. The Dems have circled there wagons around the white flag, along with a few RINOs, and are content with lobbing useless legislation and subpoenas at the White House.
The likelihood of any of this changing is about as likely as Harriet Miers showing up to Chucky Schumers witch hunt. Pathetic.
