Today I got into a discussion with a gentleman that I work with concerning the Presidential Race. Normally his views are antithetical to mine, However we both agreed that Fred Thompson seemed to be the candidate that best matched each our personal views. He is a registered democrat who voted for Ronald Reagan twice. Could this be the return of the Reagan supporters to the GOP? I don't know but this I do, I haven't found anyone in the circle of people that I run who supports Obama or Hillary. Probably says more about the circle I run in, than the feel of the electorate, nonetheless I figure I should find at least one.
Not even my feminist, liberal, nut, sister supports Hillary or Obama. Obama I can understand, but Hillary? That is surprising considering my sister's politics. Of course she is far from being a mainstream democrat too. In a recent e-mail she told me she had watched a democrat debate and liked Mike Gravel. That says it all.
