Would John Adams still proclaim aloud?
As he once did in a Boston crowd,
Of Liberty and Freedom and Life’s great pursuit,
Knowing they would give way to the bitter fruit,
Of vanity and corruption that rule today,
Where the Patriots dreams have lost there sway.
Where the beautiful and rich are handed fame,
And favor is granted on the basis of your name.
Where destiny is made and fortune is taken,
Where morals are absent and honor forsaken.
Where religion has cheapened God’s power and grace,
And self outweighs selflessness at an alarming pace.
Where the worship of God has waning support,
Because of the ruling of some foolish court.
Where are the Patriots that once guided this land?
We need them today to make a stand.
To restore honor and virtue to this weary nation
And revitalize the Founding Fathers creation.
