For nearly three days I have been waiting for more than a 30 second sound bite from our glorious media on the offensive operations currently ongoing in Iraq. I for one have lost faith in the major networks and CNN to be balanced over the last few years regarding Iraq. I find myself compelled to follow the news solely on FOX and by checking Matt Drudge daily.
From my perspective it is clear that the anti-War opinion is not only prevalent in the dinosaur networks but fomented. And when recent statistics that reveal among 144 journalists donations to political campaigns were 9 to 1 in favor of liberal candidates I am hardly dissuaded from that point of view.
It angers me that the single most influential institution in our nation is perceptually biased. But not as angry as I get when I see American opinions swayed by these forces without so much as a thought of were what they are hearing is true. And in this day and age there is little excuse for it.
The Internet is the single greatest source of information ever available in the history of man. To take the word of some talking head on a video screen as gospel without questioning or researching the opposing views is nothing short of apathy. A disease that is running crazy in our nation.
Never before have so many had so much access to so much information. It is the 21st century and because the tools we have available there is no excuse for not verifying the reliability of what read, see and hear. Even when it seems to be the prevailing opinion......
