Mike Pence (R) my Congressman, introduced legislation in the house today that would block funding for any attempt to revive the old fairness doctrine. It passed 310 to 15, the majority of dissenting votes being the House leadership.
Although this is somewhat a ceremonial piece of legal work it is nonetheless significant given the huge margin that it passed by. Additionally it has been reported that he has 100 cosponsors for a bill that would block any future Administration or Congress from bringing it back.
Personally, I think there is little chance the Fairness Doctrine will be instituted, if they try the result will be the same as the Grahamnesty Doctrine..... it will go down in flames.
