Lazy? Puhlease...

Saturday, December 01, 2007
I may not have been posting regularly but I haven't missed anything that has been happening with my man Fred. I don't know about everyone else but the more Washington insiders and media types criticize him the more I support him.

I don't know about ya'll but I care very little what the talking heads on the news have to say concerning Fred. Every time I get to hear him speak I am even more convinced that he is my candidate.

I guess unlike some voters I don't necessarily need flashy lines and funny one liners. I consider the selection of the President a very solemn responsibility and should be based on these kind of superficial things.

Fred is still the best conservative candidate in the field..... if not the only one

Socialism 101

Monday, September 17, 2007
Today Obama visited Wall Street and basically cussed them out for being capitalist and Hillary launched her newest vision of Hillarycare. Two fine examples of why we don't need either one of them as President.

The problem is that their comments sound feasible and they play to those that can't differentiate between socialism and capitalism. The liberals have done a bang up job portraying capitalism as a system designed to make the rich richer and keep the poor poor. Quaint notion but it couldn't be farther from the truth. Capitalism is a system designed to give everyone the ability to be financially successful... if they are willing to do the work.

And there lies the problem. Work isn't fun. Sitting back and letting the government hand you entitlements is easy. I am not saying the government shouldn't provide help to those who need it, I am saying they should provide help "only" to those who need it.

This notion that the government should provide as services paid for by taxation is simply socialism. Ask the USSR how well that worked. It doesn't, socialism retards economic growth and Robin Hood entitlement programs do the same thing. Increasing taxes upon the business and the rich hurts our economic growth it doesn't help it.

If you remove tax cut incentives and replace it with huge tax increases on the rich what happens? Do you think that when a board of directors is forced to pay more taxation they will absorb that increase themselves? No they will not, they will still live in their million dollar homes and have their corporate jets. The increase will just be passed on. In the form of price increases and less capital investment in their business. Both of which don't hurt the rich, but the middle and lower class.

Supply side economics 101 you do not make poor people rich by making rich people poor. In fact the notion that overtaxing the rich will help the poor is pure foolishness. In fact when you look at the taxation reforms Democrats propose its nothing more than income redistribution, that is socialism.... period.

I Remember

Tuesday, September 11, 2007
It was a little after 8:00 AM on a Tuesday, a kid that worked for me walked up to me where I was pouring over a set of electrical blueprints spread across the hood of my truck. He asked me if I had heard about a plane hitting "those two big buildings in New York" as he put it. I asked him if he meant the Twin Towers and he said yes. I turned the radio on in my truck and was listening to the news just as United 175 slammed into the second tower. I was stunned and knew that this was it, the attack that James Marshall told me about.

James Marshall was a Naval Intelligence officer that I met in 1988. I was at a conference at Seymour Johnson AFB where he gave seminar and disclosed a somber prediction. That the United States would see a large scale terrorist event inside its borders within 10 to 20 years and such an attack would most likely be directed at a high profile target like the World Trade Center. And he was right...... twice. That was 1987, six years before Ramzi Yousef conspired to blow up the WTC and Fourteen years before Al Qaeda succeeded. But, James Marshall nailed it and our government missed it... twice.

The fact that the United States government missed it is not that surprising. Our govenment is a mess. The bureaucratic quagmire in DC is never going to change until we start at one end of Pennsylvania Avenue weeding out every functionary who's sole existence is to leak sensitive information to the NYT on our dime. That most likely will not happen in our lifetime.

In truth if truly do want these madmen to attack this country again it will require our very society to change. The apathy which has ruled this nation has to stop. The lack of interest we have toward the daily operation of government has be replaced with accountability. The tolerance of partisan antics and grandstanding needs to stop. Our system is broken and we have to see that it is fixed. We need to carefully elect our officials and throw out the people that aren't working for the good of this nation.

The most important thing that each of must embrace is to never forget who this enemy is. It does not matter why they are. They have proven time and time again that they can not be reasoned with. The only thing that will appease them is the destruction of this nation.

Unfortunately our greatest asset is also our greatest weakness. Our freedoms have to be used responsibly, if we do not we play right into their hands. They understand us better that we understand ourselves. They are committed, they are determined, and they do not forget.... neither should we.

Despicable

Monday, September 10, 2007
Despicable that is the only word I can use for the untoward actions of Democrat leaders in the run up to General Petraeus's testimony before Congress. Before this honorable man could even speak a single word they were discrediting him a a shill for the administration. I have no words for the contempt I have for these so called "leaders" of our congress.

They have no honor and wouldn't know honor if it bit them. Even when they were cornered concerning the full page ad from MoveOn.org denigrating General Petraeus they waffled and feigned outrage. Never in my life have I seen anything like this, it is despicable.

Even after he stated, under oath, that his words were his own, he was still challenged by slimy political worms like Henry Wexler from Florida. Petraeus has literally shed blood for this nation, what has a chump like Wexler even done? And what gives him the right to question the integrity of this man?

It is infuriating that these morons are playing politics with an issue as critical as National Security. We as citizens should hold every last one of them accountable for every statement that they make. WE can not allow these hacks reigns to our military. The expertise to win this conflict is within our military and should be left there.

Out with the Old

Saturday, September 08, 2007
The list of has been Congressman getting out of the way to allow new blood just grew again with Chuck Hagel announcing he will retire. Hagel joins John Warner from Virginia and the embattled Larry Craig from Idaho on a growing list of Republican retirees. Is it just a coincidence that these gentleman also backed the immigration debacle?

Nonetheless, whatever the reasons I applaud these men for recognizing that their time has come. These Republicans are worthy of respect. These gentleman have heard the calls of their constituents and realized it is time to step aside. Unlike their compatriots on the left side of the aisle.

The only time you will see a Dem removed from Congress is when they are dragged away kicking and screaming by the FBI or wheeled out on a stretcher. Elderly Robert Byrd can barely speak in a coherent manner yet he continues to occupy his seat from West Virginia. Ted Kennedy has sat in the Senate so long that now his brother's children and grandchildren sit in congressional seats with him.

If we could get Congress to place term limits upon themselves I think that we wouldn't have the ineffective legislative body that we have now. I do not believe the intent of the Constitutional Congress was to create a system where representatives remain in their elected positions for life. And certainly not for them to re-engineer voting districts to make it easier for them to do so.

Senator Bin Laden (D)

Friday, September 07, 2007
Is it just me or did UBL sound like our Senate majority leader. He hit every Dem talking point including global warming. He also slammed the libs in Congress for not ending the war in Iraq acknowledging that they were elected with a mandate to do such. I'm sure that Cindy Sheehan and the moonbats must be proud having a high profile celeb like Bin Laden parroting their platform.

Seriously Folks, It should occur to the antiwar crowd that if a sworn enemy of the United States is agreeing with your cause that you may want to rethink your position. But they won't will they. It doesn't occur to them that parroting the same rhetoric as Bin Laden causes them sound like the traitors.

To them its all about "peace", peace at any cost, regardless of whether its makes you sound like a traitor. Regardless of whether your peace cause does nothing to secure it, instead secures anything but peace. There is no logic or reason to their cause, their doesn't have to be, its all about their cause period.

It should dawn on these people that when a killer like Bin Laden holds the same views as yourself and a number of people walking with you in your protest march that it should give you cause for alarm. A normal sane person would, these people are not plagued with a conscious though. Reversing their postion, means siding with the President, and we can't have that, after all he's the real enemy.

Sold

Thursday, September 06, 2007
And I am not a very easy sell. But Fred T has definitely given me something to cheer about. His statements on Leno and his web cast were spot on. I think we have a candidate that sees what America needs and has the guts to speak it. He is the only candidate that I have heard that makes me feel hopeful. I don't know how the critics can say that he lacks Reagan's appeal, he speaks very clearly and very concisely. Now lets see how he does on the big stage.

He will have time to gear up for the next debate and I look forward to seeing him deliver his platform over the next few months. A Rasmussen Poll taken today has already placed him in a statistical tie with Rudy G. Encouraging, but there is a long row to hoe.

I personally think that effect that Fred is having on the competition is seen in the comments from pundits and analysts. They range from negative to out right hateful. It stems from the way he is conducting this campaign.... he isn't following the conventional intellect, he's marching to his own music. And that really upsets the wonks and rainmakers. Keep up the good work Fred!

Minot Mistake

Wednesday, September 05, 2007
Well it seems my former employer (the USAF) made a small error last Thursday. They accidentally flew a plane load of nuclear weapons across the mid section of country. Seems someone made a mistake, they were not supposed to be live weapons.

Of course the MSM is making it sound like they were carrying raw bars of plutonium strapped to its wings, and radioactive liquids was dripping from its fuselage. The reports say that they were cruise missiles, this I doubt. The ALCM is relatively new to the inventory and it has to be the AGM-69 SRAM which can only be carried internally on a rotary launcher. Its also very unlikely that anyone, other than the idiot who made this mistake, was harmed.

These types of weapons are very difficult to damage, even in an aircraft crash. They are designed to strike targets at mach speed and remain intact long enough to detonate. A plane crash would do little more than dent the casing.

Nonetheless, right now there is a commander in Minot AFB in deep doo doo. You don't make a mistake of this magnitude and keep your command. This guy, gal, is probably on a C-17 headed to Greenland to command a radar site right now.

What the Craig?

Tuesday, September 04, 2007
Latest word is that Idaho Senator Craig is possibly gearing up for a fight over his arrest in June. According to the Section 1 of the Constitution he has legal ground to have the charge overturned. Congressmen can't be arrested for other than treason, or a felony charge when en route to Congress. A "wide stance" in the restroom hardly qualifies.

I could really care less if Craig stays or goes. I would lean to him going, since he has already signaled that he would. I am sure that the sentiment is shared with Republican Leaders and most of the party in general. It's a mute point, because I am sure the good people of Idaho will dispense with Mr. Craig in 2008.

The sad fact is the long legs that this story has gotten and the relative muted coverage the Hsu campaign allegations have gotten. Who by the way turned himself in and was released on bond, so that you guessed it, he could skip town again. How stupid is our legal system. This clown is probably sitting in Hong Kong safe from the prying eyes of the MSM. The judge that released him on bond should be slapped. This guy was on the lamb since 1991, why on earth would you provide him a chance to run again, this time to a location where he isn't easily retrievable. Way to go, Your Honor.

Presidential Visit

Monday, September 03, 2007
The President is visiting Anbar Province today and the vitriol from the nutroots on the Blogs is disgusting and plentiful. The horrible comments made by these bloggers only reveals the complete lack of relevance they lend to our society. There is no reason for the hateful rhetoric these morons spew. To what end do these foolish people think that their statements lend to the overall discourse.

Its sad that this type of hatred is espoused and tolerated by these sites. Some of the statements I've read are borderline threats and tecnically illegal. But Hey its just Bush, who cares? This is the prevalent attitude among the left wing nuts. To these people respect for the office means nothing, its all about hating the man that currently fills it. Aren't the right wingers supposed to be the haters?

I have never seen statements made by right wing bloggers that even compare to the filth of the left. Of course they hide their nonsense under the mantle of "comedy". Their favorite lines; "its just a joke", or "we are really being serious". I am sorry there comes a point when jokes are more than humor. Especially when there is nothing funny with what they are saying.

Schools in Session

Sunday, September 02, 2007
And so will be Congress on Tuesday. This means that the maneuvering for the Democrats over the Iraq War can begin again. By all accounts and many liberal ones to boot, the new strategy is working in the Iraq theater. But that is going to matter little to the defeatist of this Congress and country that want us out of Iraq.

The strategy of the antiwar caucus is clear ignore the good things happening and trumpet the bad. Its the same tactic all politicians use, propaganda. Pick a single talking point and beat it to death until Americans begin to believe it is true.

I would like to believe that General Petraeus will be able quiet the naysayers when he reports to the Congress on September 15th. I am realistic enough to know that it won't happen. The real question is if enough turncoat Republicans will jump ship in order to give Democrats the majority they need. That too seems to be an unlikely event.

It looks like for at least the short term the strategy in Iraq will remain intact. Its unlikely that the Congress will de-fund the war. But with the progress in the strategy so far that would not have much support, including the left, who have had defections on the debate. Its going to be very interesting to watch.

Self Inflicted Economic Pressure

Saturday, September 01, 2007
The old adage is if you repeat something enough its bound to come true. That seems to be exactly what is happening with our economy. Even though all the indicators point to good economic growth the pessimists are out in full battle regalia over the housing market. Is it just me or does anyone else remember 18% mortgage rates?

The sub prime market is the root of this nonsense, a market that is small compared to millions of mortgage customers in America, but large because of the money financial institutions have in it. Because greed won out during the housing boom of the last few years, we now face problems because banks loaned money to individuals they should not have. Additionally, marketeers and individuals seeking to make a quick buck by flipping real estate now find themselves unable to cover their margins. It all amounts to a mess, but not the end of the world.

Even though democrat pundits would have us believe the bottom is dropping out, the Dow remains solid, volatile, but solid. We aren't seeing a spill over into other sectors of the market and the banks are still loaning money. Albeit they have tightened up their lending standards, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. The market is doing as the market does, It is correcting itself.

Even so the MSM is giddy with story after story of how the "crunch" is going to ruin us all. For the nearly 40 years I've been making money I have heard the same thing numerous times, yet never once have I been directly impacted or has it cost me my life savings. It all comes down to being smart with your finances, which unfortunately a wide margin of we Americans aren't.

Its almost hypocritical to damn Congress for spending like a drunken sailor when the majority of Americans are doing the same thing. We as a nation constantly rack up billions of dollars in unneeded personal debt each year. Many times using credit to buy things we can't really afford. And when the first payment comes due, whine because we can't afford to live.

I have no sympathy for anyone who lives in a $2000.00 trailer so that they can barely afford the payments on a $45000.00 vehicle. Or someone who buys a new HDTV when they should be putting that money aside for the future, then scream when the future gets here and they have no money.

The bottom line is Americans need to get smarter financially from top to bottom. We need to apply conservative financial principles and stop spending ourselves into oblivion. If we did we wouldn't have to worry about half of things we do right now. There are always going to be those that through misfortune, not necessarily of their own, who will need help. But the vast majority of problems we face are created by own lack of vision and unwillingness to make the hard choices.

If we were more intelligent with our money then perhaps we wouldn't think we need socialized medicine, or welfare. If we applied conservatism properly these needs could be met without trillion dollar entitlement programs. Work = Money, Money * Financial Prudence = Peace of Mind.

Just like the overall market if we tell ourselves the situation is bad, then bad is all we will see. It applies to our own finances also. No matter how difficult we find the situation we still have choices. We can either make a bad one or a good. We are fortunate enough to live in country that not only allows it, but is founded upon it.

Sweeping out the Garbage

Friday, August 31, 2007
Anyone who doesn't understand why Larry Craig should resign will never understand. If the GOP is going to be the party of values then it has to live those values. I doesn't matter to me what Larry Craig did in a Minneapolis bathroom as what he has done in the Senate Chamber, and that isn't much.

He voted for the Immigration Bill and has opposed earmark reform. He is part of the problem and needs to go. His stall impropriety is a good reason for him to step down, the quicker the better. And Warner can go with him no need to wait to finish your term John.

I think it is apparent that the GOP faithful have made their feelings known to the likes of John Warner. Its funny how he announced he was not running again in 2008 after the flack he recieved over his troop withdrawal suggestion and his stand on Immigration. John, I seriously doubt the good citizens od Virginia were going to let you stay in office anyway.

If this party stands a snowsball chance of regaining the House, Senate of the Presidency the candidates that represent have to return to conservative values. Additionally, they have to learn to stand up and fight for those values.

Hillary, Hillary, Hillary

Thursday, August 30, 2007
Shady campaign finance deals and Clinton go together like bread and butter. How many stories have to surface before allegations stick. From Whitewater to the Lincoln Bedroom, to the Chinese Monks, the list seems endless. But it maybe changing, the NYT ran a front page story about Norman Hsu, amazing, the paper of record reporting on something that reflects negatively on Hillary.

This story may indeed have legs. With Her sizable lead over Obama and Edwards its almost a certainty that they will be doing everything in their power to ensure that it does. I'm sure that Edwards especially is very happy over this alleged scandal given his inclination to "honest" campaign financing. I'm sure the wheels are turning in the Edwards camp trying to come up with an angle to use this story to his benefit.

I also find interesting that this story is breaking just mere days before Fred Thompson's official announcement to run. Is just coincidence that the man who headed up the investigation of Bill Clinton's campaign donations joins the race and a story about possible finance violations breaks in Hillary's camp? Seems kind of suspicious, kind of funny if you ask me. Fred me be Hillary's worst enemy in more ways than one.

Castro Votes

Wednesday, August 29, 2007
One again a socialist dictator shows their detachment with the American political system. Castro released that he would support Clinton and Obama over all other Presidential candidates. I don't think either one of them should look for campaign donations in south Florida anytime soon.

Neither has officially responded to the endorsement, nor will they. Having a communist dictator on your side isn't exactly a help to your cause. Now some like Gravel might consider it a help but the majority of Americans still care little about having the Cuban dictators support.

Unfortunately this story isn't getting much air time. This disturbs me a bit, is it a signal that the American populace is forgetting the Cold War and the dangers of socialism to our country? We are prone to forget as a nation the valuable lessons we've learned in the past.

This is one lesson we can't afford to forget. Especially with the rise of Hugo Chavez in Venezuela and other central American nation leaning left. We need to remember the travesties that socialists governments have done over the years and never accept these leaders as allies. No matter what Sean Penn and Danny Glover say about them.

Tuesday, August 28, 2007

Nugent

Tuesday, August 28, 2007
I wish people would get off Nugent. Yes his statements were rude, and crude, and some might say over the top. So What! It is just Nugent. This country has turned into the biggest bunch of sissy people I have ever seen. What ever happened to "sticks and stones, may break my bones, but words will never hurt me"?

Granted Ted was crass, but its Ted Nugent for heaven's sake. We aren't talking about Arlen Spectre here. Nugent is an outspoken proponent of the 2nd amendment and an accomplished hunter to be offended by him waving a gun around and ranting would be like getting offended at your dog for barking. Its going to happen and shouldn't be surprising.

I find it almost hilarious that the left will attack Nugent for his statements, yet remain oddly silent when left wing celebs like Alex Baldwin, Sean Penn and Danny Glover spew their nonsense. Ah but that is different they are attacking that tyrant Bush after all.

What is good for the goose is good for the gander. Don't go after Ted unless you are prepared to go after the dozens of nuts on the left that are saying and doing worse. I think if we were to check the balance sheet their are more entries in the left column than the right.

Gonzales Gone

Monday, August 27, 2007
Schumer and his moonbats and nutroots have their wish. They have ridden another member of the administration out of town. This a case of Washington politics at its worst. The Democrats have their pound of flesh, and the United States has no Attorney General.

Gonzales will have to be replaced but the question is who is going to replace him. Or better yet, who would want to replace him given that this administration has only 16 month left in power. At best it will be a temporary assignment for whoever is lucky (unlucky) enough to make it through the Senate confirmation gauntlet.

Gonzales by all accounts was an effective AG. His only true fault was being too nice. A trait that is of little use in the circle of Capital politics. He should have simplt testified the facts. US Attorneys serve at the pleasure of the President. Period.

This entire fiasco is worse than the Scotter Libby witch hunt. It reveals the depths to which politicans will sink in order gain politcal advantage. There was no crime, no conspiracy. The resources and manpower wasted on these useless investigations highlight why DC needs a thorough house cleaning.

Thompson Alert

Sunday, August 26, 2007
Fred Thompson has informed FOX to expect him at their debate on the 5th of September. This signals that a statement is forthcoming announcing his official entry in the Presidential race. The whisper campaigns are in full swing, the beltway insiders are mumbling their misgivings, and Fred, well he is doing what he has done all along.... things his way.

Their seems to be a growing coalition between between the Newt camp and Thompson's. Scuttlebutt has that Fred will announce his official entry via the Internet. A suggestion given to Thompson by Gingrich. Thompson is looking to make his campaign net-centric and what better way than to start by announcing it there.

The Gingrich component is compelling, he has eluded that if Thompson runs he will not and speculation is that he may be tapped by Thompson for a cabinet post should he win the White House. That could be a plus for Thompson if true, many conservatives respect Newt, but not enough to see him make a a run for the White House. Although, Newt is a solid conservative, many believe his is carrying too much baggage from the Clinton years to make a viable run for the Presidency.

So, it appears that Fred Thompson is soon to be official. For those of us who have waited it seems the day has finally arrived. Fred is in! I look forward to seeing the debate and how he handles the race. I hope he put that red truck into the garage for a tune-up, its in for a longer ride than it had to make bake in 96.

Convenient Hypocrisy

Saturday, August 25, 2007
True to liberal form, Al Gore's home in Tennessee shows the duplicity of activists like himself. This "do as I say not as I do" mentality is present in the environmental arguments of elitist liberals. Celebrities espouse their concerns for environment while crisscrossing the globe in private jets. And the "Goreacle" lives it daily with his own home. Hey Al, instead of carbon credits how about owning a smaller house?

LOOK OVER THE DESCRIPTIONS OF THE FOLLOWING TWO HOUSES AND SEE IF YOU CAN TELL WHICH BELONGS TO AN ENVIRONMENTALIST.

HOUSE # 1: A 20-room mansion (not including 8 bathrooms) heated by natural gas. Add on a pool (and a pool house) and a separate guest house all heated by gas. In ONE MONTH ALONE this mansion consumes more energy than the average American household in an ENTIRE YEAR. The average bill for electricity and natural gas runs over $2,400.00 per month. In natural gas alone (which last time we checked was a fossil fuel), this property consumes more than 20 times the national average for an American home. This house is not in a northern or Midwestern "snow belt," either. It's in the South.

HOUSE # 2: Designed by an architecture professor at a leading national university, this house incorporates every "green" feature current home construction can provide. The house contains only 4,000 square feet (4 bedrooms) and is nestled on arid high prairie in the American southwest. A central closet in the house holds geothermal heat pumps drawing ground water through pipes sunk 300 feet into the ground. The water (usually 67 degrees F.) heats the house in winter and cools it in summer. The system uses no fossil fuels such as oil or natural gas, and it consumes 25% of the electricity required for a conventional heating/cooling system. Rainwater from the roof is collected and funneled into a 25,000 gallon underground cistern. Wastewater from showers, sinks and toilets goes into underground purifying tanks and then into the cistern. The collected water then irrigates the land surrounding the house. Flowers and shrubs native to the are! a blend the property into the surrounding rural landscape.

HOUSE # 1 (20 room energy guzzling mansion) is outside of Nashville,Tennessee. It is the abode of that renowned environmentalist (and filmmaker) Al Gore.

HOUSE # 2 (model eco-friendly house) is on a ranch near Crawford, Texas. Also known as "the Texas White House," it is the private residence of the President of the United States, George W. Bush.

This story circulating the Internet is considered to factual and true according to snopes.com

Truthers

Friday, August 24, 2007
Dylan Avery is a 23 year old director of the truther's cult classic "Loose Change". After seeing this kid its no wonder that these truther nuts are often referred to as dwelling in their mother's basements. All I can say is when your movements leading prophet is a pimple faced kid that looks like he would be right at home playing Doom or Quake in a darkened bedroom, the credibility of your cause is already lacking.

Its not what these people believe that upsets me. Its the fact they exist. One only has to make a stop at Mr. Avery's Myspace page to see that not only does he exist, but he has groupies. It appears by statements left in comments that his followers suffer from the same delusions that he does. Narcissism.

These people care more about their explanation of the "truth" than the truth itself. It matters little that their narrative is full of more wholes than a wheel of Swiss cheese. They don't care that the facts that underpin their explanations where gleaned by experts with little or no education in the fields they profess to have expertise. They ignore the reams and volumes of documentation and testimony by true PhD that refute their claims. In essence its nothing to do with honesty, its all about "conspiracy", Its all about them being the beacon of truth, the Messiah that saves the world. As I said narcissism.

Pearl Harbor, Roswell, JFK, Area 51 and now 9/11. There is a long line of conspiracy theories dating back through history, It is no surprise that misguided individuals would construct one around 9/11. In fact it is inevitable that these type of people would emerge spewing their vile half truths and lies.

For us that find these theories revolting we should never cease in discrediting and disproving them. It is a disservice to the innocent men and women who died that day to allow their memories to be sullied by these maggots.

Bigot, Homophobic, Racist

Wednesday, August 22, 2007
I've been called homophobic, bigot, intolerant, racist, close minded and ignorant. And all because I have an opinion and don't mind expressing my views. Why is that liberals resort to calling me names then throw a bloody fit if I label them a liberal, progressive or naive? There is a great disparity between those two sets of terms.

Everyone is entitled to believe what they wish, even if its stupid and wrong in my opinion. There was a day when people with opposing views respected dissenting views and could carry on a civil discussion without attacking each other. Today that seems not to be the case.

Recently, I was attempting explain my view regarding gay marriage to a person I know. Personally, I disagree that homosexuality is a condition a person is born with. That is what "I" believe. I see evidence in the Word of God that this is true. As I said it is what I believe. And for having that solemn belief was labeled homophobic, not only that but ignorant and was accused of violating a homosexual's civil rights by believing what I believe.

The Left's tactic is to marginalize our conservative beliefs, especially if they are Christian. To paint our convictions as being archaic and not in step with modern views. But they miss the point entirely. Most conservatives are quite comfortable with their beliefs, they don't need polls, or a majority to support their views. They are not looking to convert anyone and could care less if anyone else agrees with their position. It is simply that which they believe, nothing more or less.

Liberals on the other hand seem compelled to change our minds. They view Christian values as quaint and archaic. They agree with no interpretation of beliefs that involve accountability, and seemed embroiled in a perpetual "gray" area. To them nothing is absolute. Even though the world is filled with them. Relativism is their religion and any system of belief that doesn't allow acceptance of all things is an anachronism. There is no evil and good is defined as what is good for you, regardless of morality. Morals after all are personal standards gleaned after years of self-discovery, not learned behavior passed on from parents to children. Tradition is out, and progressiveness is in.

With all their lofty rhetoric, why are calling us haters, bigots, and racists? If our opinions are so narrow and behind the times why are they even bothering with confronting them? Seems to me if they were so correct the need for confrontation is mute.

Viva La France

Tuesday, August 21, 2007
I had to read the story twice to believe it. First a unannounced visit by the French Foreign Minister to Baghdad and now a statement that the French are planning to lend aid to the United States in Iraq. Kind of takes your breath away.

Of course there are no details as to the extent of this aid. Yet the fact that they have acknowledged we are doing important work and have offered to help must send shivers up Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid's spines. I mean if the French are seeing the need for a stable Iraq and that plan we have instituted is working, then the bottom is out of the tub for these two and the rest of "the war is lost" crowd.

Not to demean the French offer but I am sure there are some politics behind the scenes. I doubt that they are willing to extend any offer of aid unless there is some quid pro quo attached. In the past the French had close ties to Iraq. Hopefully Sarkozy and the Iraqi government will not be like Chirac and Hussien. If the Iraqi's are going to survive they will need the help of partners like France.

It is heartening see that the relations between the French and ourselves are improving politically. Its not only the Iraqi's that are going to need their help, we need all the friends we can get.

Fight the Law, The Law Wins

Monday, August 20, 2007
Elvira Arellano was arrested and deported. After her and her lawless friends thumbed their noses at ICE for over a year she was arrested while attempting to attend an immigration rally in LA. Chalk one up for the good guys and Americans that still believe that laws are necessary.

This debate over immigration is a winner for which ever candidate seizes it. Guiliana has made some strong anti-illegal immigration statements, and so has 2nd tier candidates Tancredo and Hunter. On the Democrat side, they have been unsurprisingly mute.

Americans all across the United States are sick of feeling that they are losing their country. That is it in a nutshell. DO we want to stop immigration totally, of course not. We want to stop the illegal invasion of our country.

We are tired of going into Wal-marts in certain cities in this nation and not being able to understand the cashiers when they speak. We are tired of illegal immigrant thugs harming and killing our people. We are tired of prisons being filled to overflowing with these men and women. And we are tired of the Federal government sitting on their hands and pandering to special interest pro-amnesty immigration groups.

I have worked with immigrants from Central America, some I suspect were illegal. For the most part they are good hard working people. I have no quarter them. I do have problems with them being here illegally when their are thousands of people trying to come here legally, going through the government system of jump rope for years, making the investment of time and effort to be a legal citizen. Why should I let illegals have a free pass?

The proponents of amnesty say its impossible to deport them all, It is the kind thing to do, It will cost to much to deport them, and my personal favorite - what have they really done that is "illegal"? They broke our LAW, that is what! Pretty much defined illegal in my opinion.

Again this illness of relativism has infected a good portion of the citizens of this nation. You get by the word illegal by calling them "undocumented", you get bay the law by saying, "we lured them here with jobs". I am willing to concede the latter is true, but only because the 1986 Simpson Bill did not enforce the law which said companies could be held accountable for hiring illegal workers. That is changing.

As for Elvira Arellano. see was deported once and returned, that is felony. She used false documents to obtain a job at Ohare Airport. She ignored immigration enforcement action by hiding in a "sanctuary" in Chicago for over one year. And this the face of your movement? I think your movement needs a face lift.

Glimpse of Tommorrow

Sunday, August 19, 2007

The MSM presses and air waves are buzzing concerning the joint military exercise between the Russians and Chinese. They wasted no time parading out their military experts expressing their gloom and doom over how the Iraq War has degraded our abilities to counter a Chi-Russian threat. And predictably, how George Bush has ignored other threats in the world.

People if you think that our intelligence miss either of these military forces could moving that amount of manpower and equipment, you need to lay off the Kool-aid. I find it laughable that the media would suppose that we were caught flat footed by this military exercise. It seems that if our intelligence community is that negligent, the liberals really don't have much to fear with the government tapping phones, there probably won't be anyone listening.
This exercise is no surprise, I have always felt the Russians are not trustworthy. They are like a wounded Bear, the conversion to a capitalist society has not gone well for them. They have continually bullied their former Warsaw-Pact ally states with energy embargoes. And Putin is seizing more power daily. He has re-instituted long-range bomber flights for the first time since the end of the cold war, and now this.

As for the Chinese, I don't believe they have any interest in allying themselves with the Russians. It is advantageous for them to keep the them close. That has been Bejings strategy for years. But I see no real threat coming from the Chinese towards the United States. Unless they expect their military to feed the burgeoning growth of their economy, the still need US dollars for that. However, as time advances I do see the relations between the Chinese and ourselves growing cold. Especially, if outrage over tainted products continues.

The gloom and doomer's have also forgotten a very important deterrent that we possess. Our nuclear capability isn't their to give the liberal kooks something to protest. Its there to remind nation threats like a regressed Mother Russia that yes, you might be able to win a force on force conflict with us, but it won't advance your position if you have no home to return to. As theirs serves to remind us of the same.

I've contended for years that the cold war has never ended. The only thing that has changed is the names of the participants and the number of nations involved. The old politics of Mutual Assured Destruction (MAD) and peace through superior firepower is as viable today as it was 30 years ago. We need not ignore it.

Good Ol' Fred

Saturday, August 18, 2007
Fred Thompson is about to drive the MSM and Washington Beltway crowd nuts. He has said numerous times that he is "thinking about", "looking into" and "testing the waters", everything but a formal announcement that he will seek the White House.

Judging by the coverage that the MSM give him you would think that he has declared. The Nut York Times have published several hit pieces about him and his wife Jeri. Just this week at the Iowa State Fair he was attacked for riding a golf cart and wearing Gucci loafers. I mean come on folks he is nearly 70.

I have heard him called an insider, a lobbyist, too old, unhealthy, and lazy. I can't imagine how he will be painted when he finals joins the fray. Personally, if his name were Jack Abramnoff, was 96, and six months to live he would still be a better choice than anyone on the Democrat side of the nomination. Of course I am biased.

Actually, his time as a lobbyist isn't a detractor to me. I don't like special interest groups of any type providing money political candidates that includes women's groups and unions, not just oil and tobacco companies. It could be advantageous to have a President that understands that system. I can't think of anyone better to deal with lobbyist reform than a former lobbyist. SO really whats their point?

His age and health? Who cares? He gets around pretty good for a guy his years if you ask me. And Jeri? Again, what is their point? The guy has a wife twenty years younger than himself. Big deal. Doesn't seem to bother most Democrats that Bill was cheating on Hillary with a girl 30 years younger.

The one I absolutely love is that he is an actor. It seems the last time we put an actor in the White House things worked out pretty good. Hollywood liberals should be happy to see one of their own make to the highest office. I would rather have a President in the White House that was an actor, than a President in the White House that is an actor.

Thompson has said he is going to rub a campaign like one we have never seen in American Presidential races before. As long as he stays real and addresses the questions with real answers he will accomplish that very lofty goal. I am hoping he hits the trail speaking a clear concise message to the American people. If he does, he stands a very good chance of making it an interesting campaign run.

Where is John Wayne?

Friday, August 17, 2007
The response of the Utah Governor and media in the wake of the collapse that killed three of the rescuers is very disheartening. It also depicts vividly the lack of integrity that we as a society have if the rescue work is permanently halted. 50 years ago it would have been unthinkable to stop a rescue operation before it was finished, no matter what the danger.

I know it seems logical and right to limit the losses, but this is a rescue operation. It can't be looked upon as anything else. If a fireman gives his life attempting to save a life do we stop fighting the fire and abandon those trapped? No! This is America not France.

Americans have always been a people that will do whatever it takes where ever it is needed to save people from harm, or at least we used to be. Has this disease of relativism, which has crept into the national psyche, impacted us so that now we are willing to give up before the end is seen?

Is this narcissistic contemporary view blinding us? What has happened to "there is nothing greater than to give ones life for his brother"? Is it just an archaic Christian concept that has no place in our modern "enlightened" society? If so, Lord Jesus have mercy upon our souls.

When good is reduced to what is good for yourself. When welfare of others is replaced by the welfare of yourself. When pessimists are plentiful and optimists are few. Then it is understandable that our society will quietly allow a travesty like this to take place. And not even view as such.

While the powers to be investigate and procrastinate six miners could possibly be alive in that mine waiting, hoping and praying. We used to be nation of doers, a nation filled with men like John Wayne, God fearing people. Now what are we? Certainly not God fearing, for if were every time something this happened we would be running into danger, not away from it. It should not take a major catastrophe to bring our people up to this task. Terrible things happen everyday.

There is a community in Utah that believes today is their 9/11.

Look Closer

Wednesday, August 15, 2007
Any American that wants to stick his head in the sand believe that 9/11 was a fluke better see more than another reason the Iraq war is lost in this most recent truck bombing. Its shows the calculating way that Al Qaeda chooses its targets and the planning used. They didn't just roll up into this village and blow themselves up, this took planning just like the WTC bombings did.

The assumption that it takes little skill to stage an attack like this is wrong. It may be popular to think that these are just random acts of violence, but that is inaccurate also. Its takes great skill and planning to wreak this level of savagery, something that terrorist have plenty of unfortunately.

I have expertise in explosives, I was a military Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) technician for 15 years, I know what it takes to make an explosion. You don't just wake up one morning and set one off. It takes the right material and knowledge of explosive firing trains.

There literally thousands of explosive materials and each have their own unique properties and uses. The target and effect desired determines the material needed. Additionally it also determines the detonation train which can be as simple as a match or as complicated as computerized timers or specialized switches.

From the sketchy details that have come forward on this attack its apparent to me that several bombs were deployed seems feasible judging by the size of the area destroyed. This reveals some hidden sophistication, these devices would have most likely detonated nearly simultaneously. That would require a high degree of training or a very advanced detonation method.

When you couple this kind of skill and knowledge with a radical agenda you end up with many dead innocent people. The absolute worse thing that we can do as a nation is discount the ability of these people or miss what each one of these attacks represent. They are telling us about the determination and capability of these people. It should serve as a reminder of the danger they pose not just Iraqis, but to us.

Radicals

Tuesday, August 14, 2007
They are here, they have always been there, they will always be here. Its just that it seems like there are more because they have found ways to make their voices louder. Today there is a twist, the radicals are seeing the successes that groups like Al Qaeda have disrupting normal life and increasingly making the jump to terrorism.

We have seen several foiled plots in the last few months, luckily for the prospective victims of these alleged attacks the attackers were not well trained, telegraphed their actions and were arrested. Luck is a fickle friend. I wouldn't base the safety of anyone in this nation solely upon it, but the apathy of this nation forces reliance upon it.

The arguments against the PATRIOT Act and NSA's wiretap program are plentifully and some of them I agree are valid. Franklin was wise to say that "Anyone who gives up liberty for security deserves neither". However Mr. Franklin didn't have the threat of suicide bombers blowing themselves up in the streets of Philadelphia. I wonder how Franklin, Adams and Jefferson would respond to these threats. Unfortunately, we don't have the luxury of hearing their point of view.

SO where does that leave us? It is obvious that terrorists have found a method that works well in against a free society. The question is, can we come up with a counter that stops them. Preferably before blowing up a crowded shopping center killing dozens of innocent people.

Reactive tactics are not going work against these cowards. Our approach has to be proactive. I understand the concerns over the loss of civil liberties, but if wiretapping and actions like it are not the answer, then what are? The opponents are very good at articulating their misgivings, but I have not, as of yet. heard them forward any alternatives.

I personally feel that we will see the events that are currently happening in other nations happen here. America will not be immune from terrorists, foreign or domestic. In my opinion, for us to have an avenue of recourse to prevent needless death and not pursue it makes us complicit to these heinous events. Doing nothing isn't an option we can afford, even if the threat were remote.... and its not.

Joe, Let's Talk Faith

Monday, August 13, 2007
Joe Biden aid in statement one of the reasons the Democrats have been beaten in the last two general elections was because they were afraid to talk about faith. He then went on to offer up Bill Clinton as the model of faith for the party. Bill Clinton? I was inclined to agree with Mr. Biden's assessment until he brought Clinton into it. If Bill Clinton stands as their model of faith, an adulterer and liar, then no wonder they have lost.

Actually Joe better watch throwing words like "faith" around, the liberals with have a fit. His statement might even be construed as an admission to the importance of faith to the majority of the American people. That is an issue that causes agnostic and atheist liberals to foam at the mouth. They have spend decades trying to marginalize God for one of their own to recognize his important has to be maddening to them.

One of the major reason that the Democratic Party has lost much of its support over the years is the stand that they have taken on faith issues. Their stand on issues such as abortion and homosexuality puts them at odds with a majority of believers, Christians in particular. So, is this a signal of a sea change in the party? I doubt it. Its nothing more than attempt to draw support.

Biden's statements should in all serious be heeded solemnly by the Democrats. Faith is an important issue for the majority of voters. But in order to talk about their faith, they must first have faith. That is the issue, talk is cheap.

Most persons that are sincere believers know when someone is truly a person of faith. It shows in their actions, not in their words. This is what politicians, liken Biden, miss, they think they can "talk" faith. I doesn't work that way, you have to live it. And if you live it, you don't have to talk about it... it shows.

Boards are Creeking

Sunday, August 12, 2007
The shaky platform that the Defeat-o-crats have build for themselves is getting even weaker and a few more timbers are cracking. The UN has elected t expand its roll in Iraq. That has really got to sting. The UN is ready to step back into Iraq? That has to speak volumes up the real condition on the ground there, even to the experts of denial.

Fiengold, Murtha, Pelosi, and Reid have to be scrambling for cover amid the news coming from the war. And how can you have any empathy for them. They bet on the President being as big an idiot as the Hollywood and elitists liberals said he was.

Instead he tore a page from history and pulled an Abraham Lincoln. Abe Lincoln looked for nearly four years, and went through over a half dozen commanders, some of them twice, before he found Grant. This president has apparently done the same with David Petraeus.

Michael Yon says: "Petraeus may well prove to be to counterinsurgency warfare what Patton was to tank battles with Rommel, or what Churchill was to the Nazis." I'll add that after Lincoln put Grant in command it was only a year before Lee surrendered at Appomattox. We can only hope the same result is on the horizon for Iraq and the Democrats in 2008.

President: "Progress in Iraq"

Saturday, August 11, 2007
During his weekly radio address the President took a deserved opportunity to tout a few of the successes our brave soldiers have accomplished on the battlefields of Iraq. He trumpeted the state of Ramadi and Anbar as signs that the tactics are working and Al Qaeda is off balance and on the run.

I expected the Democrat Response to his message to be some scathing denial of the progress and how we have "lost" this conflict and nothing can be done to change that. Instead the Defeat-o-crats roll out Ellen Tauscher, D-California, will a rambling statement about how the war has depleted our military and only "her bipartian" legislation can save the military from the insane policies of this administration.

It amazes me how these fruits speak about military matters as experts and authorities having never once served a single day in a combat zone, but they have all the answers. Rubbish, the only thing this Democrat Congress has is an ever growing problem with their surrender policy in a conflict that obvious isn't lost after all.

As a retired military man who has served in a war zone and dozens of other less than desirable places I can say this. When in uniform I understood as my compatriots did, there were going to be times we had to put aside ourselves for the good of the mission. Liberals will never ever understand the mind of the common G.I. because they can't get themselves out of the way long enough to see that there are indeed times when the good of the many outweigh the good of the few.

A soldiers indoctrination in the military is about driving this point home. Transforming selfish motives into selfless actions. Its a part of that "brainwashing" we in the military are forced to endure, yea right. As aforementioned, it is idiotic notions like this that prevent these liberal geniuses from seeing the truth.

If you ask a G.I. in Iraq if he wants to go home what do you expect him or her to say? No, I really like it here, I hope I can come back to visit. I do not think so. If you go to South Korea and ask a G.I. serving there the same question you would get the same answer as from the one in Iraq, Hell Yes, get me out of this God forsaken hell hole!

Families of soldiers, sailors and airmen are hit hard by these deployments, I am not denying that. But unlike the liberals in Hollywood and San Francisco these patriotic people understand the necessity for sacrifice. They understand and believe in duty, honor, country. DO they like having their loved one in harm's way, of course not. But, they know its part of serving.

When you serve you know these types of missions can come along. And if you don't or just want game the system for educational benefits or enlistment bonuses then you don't belong in the uniform. The U.S. military is an entity founded and sustained by honor. When you join the military expects you uphold the oath you take when you are sworn in. They expect you to have made the decision to serve for the correct reasons. That oath says you will serve where and when needed by the President. And that often means where bad guys are shooting at you. It goes like this:

"I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice."

And the part that liberals really love; "So help me God."
So really what was Ellen Tauscher's point? Nothing, it's just another political smoke screen to hide their idiotic stand on the Iraq War. An attempt to shift focus away from the encouraging news coming out. The fact is that the ground is crumbing from beneath their collective liberal feet each time another word of progress leaks through the press. And the ruse that public opinion supports them is evaporating daily.

And Where is Jack Murtha?!

Friday, August 10, 2007
Just where in the hell is that blowhard Jack Murtha now? Seems that what many of us suspected all along is true, Lance Cpl. Justin Sharratt is innocent of the charges that he killed innocent Iraqi's in a 2005 incident in Haditha. He was cleared of all charges by a general officer reviewing his case Wednesday. Completely innocent, he was simply doing his duty.

However, I will never exonerate Murtha for the vitriol he spewed against this Marine hero in the wake of the allegations. "Cold Blooded Killers", I remember Jack. He is a hack politician and I hope that the next election he faces he gets hammered by his opponents for those heinous statements.

I had a gut feeling just by the firestorm this story fanned in the media that the allegations were overreaching. WE and that means YOU too Murtha, should never second guess the actions of military when under fire. Combat is not like a riot in South Central and shouldn't be viewed that way. This is not a police force conducting these operations, these are trained soldiers. We were not there, we didn't see what he saw. We should be careful to never condemn a soldier until the facts are heard. Especially if the one asserting condemnation has never seen, or will ever see, a single day of combat.

The real travesty in this story is that when this story broke it was national news for several news cycles. How many news organizations have given more than a grudging few seconds to this brave kids acquittal? And Murtha? He's still hiding under his desk. Hack.

Consequences

Thursday, August 09, 2007
President Bush today gave his strongest warning yet to the Iranians that interference in the Iraqi conflict would mean they will face the "consequences" of those actions. Of course as soon as those words fell upon the media's collective ears the truthers were firing up their notebooks and blogging away. "See.... Emperor W is going to invade Iran, marshal law is coming, our civil liberties are finished.... etc. etc."

What I really get frustrated with is why it is so difficult for the public to grasp the necessity of keeping the pressure on the Iranians. They are actively engaged in frustrating the war in Iraq. That can't be tolerated but it isn't the only thing that they are doing that is a concern. They are also actively developing nuclear material for a weapons program. If you believe it is for nuclear power you are just being naive.

If it were truly for nuclear power, they could buy fissile material cheaper than they could make it themselves. Offers have been extended and rejected by the Iranians. Why? Because the material used in a nuclear reactor cannot be weaponized, it isn't the correct atomic weight for a fission weapon. The correct material for a weapon has to be purer and can only be made using centrifuges. Which by the way they have and are currently running. Make no mistake they intend to make a weapon. Something which we the world cannot allow to happen.

Iranian nukes are a problem for us, but are an even larger problem for the other nations in the region, chiefly Israel. Digest this, the Iranians have overtly threatened Israel, therefore they have every reason to believe that if the Iranians make a weapon they will use it. We have to understand that Israel is not going to sit idly by and allow it to happen, they bombed Iraq in 86 because of Hussein's threat of weapons development. There is little doubt that if the world sits on its hands Israel will strike the Iranians.

If they do not strike Iran, then the very real possibility exists the Iranians will strike Israel. Either event is unacceptable. Both would rapidly escalate and both would leaved the United Sates no option but to intervene. If we intervene so will the Russians and China. And if that happens..... well read the book of Revelation.

We have to keep Iran from developing weapons, If they do any number of scenarios could happen and none of them are good. I am thankful we have a President, for now, that recognizes the danger the world faces from a nuclear Iran and is prepared to deal out the consequences.

Parade of Victims

Wednesday, August 08, 2007
Last night's Democrat debate featured the standard AFL/CIO fare, a parade of questioners that either lost their husband, lost their homes, or lost their health insurance. All sad stories and my heart really goes out to these people. Not only because of their misfortunes, but because they honestly believe that the crew of Democrats gathered actually had a plan to help them.

There is not very many people I bump into that that haven't had their fair share of tragedy either personally, or in their families. I and my family have had some ourselves. Of the aforementioned and especially myself three things hold true. One, we got through, two, we did so with out the help of any government agency, and third we are stronger and better people for it.

I am a Christian and my trust is in the faith I hold in Jesus. It saddens me when I see people, many who claim to be Christian, look to our government when they need to be looking much higher than that. God is the answer to our problems not Hillary Clinton, although there are times she thinks she is God.

I wasn't always a man of faith, I used to be an Atheist, then an Agnostic, then a Buddhist. Finally, after my life was a total wreck and I was totally broken, I met the Lord. It took me until my thirties to learn that the answers I sought were with me all along. God never left me, though I tried and tried to run from Him. And it happened, a life changing event and I can never go back to the way I was anymore than I can return to my own youth. It is a personal epiphany that defies explanation and only understood by those who have experienced it. I didn't learn the truth, I met the Truth and realized that He is the one I am to rely upon, not myself, not others, and certainly not the government.

This is the crux of the battle between most conservatives and the liberals. They deny the truth and seek to replace it with a facsimile, the all inclusive government. We conservatives of faith, know that government can't replace God, but should facilitate his work here on earth and impede it. We know that governments can't protect us from misfortune, we also know that God allows us to weather these storms not because he hates his children, but because he wants to see us grow

Unfortunately, there are people in this world that allow problems to overcome them, rather than overcoming the problems. And worse there are ruthless people who will exploit those less fortunate for their own political and personal gains by creating a permanent "victim" class in this nation. After all there is no need for big government if there are not plenty of people that depend upon it for help.

Please Don't Arrest Our Kids

Tuesday, August 07, 2007
In July you may remember a story involving letters sent to newspapers throughout the country containing a threatening message to Goldman Sachs. Today another letter claiming that the threat was a hoax perpetrated by teenagers surfaced at Newsday and the Daily News.

In the letter it is described how the original letters were directed at Goldman Sachs because the parents of the teenager were having trouble with the company. The handwritten letter is signed: "three frightened kids and six frightened parents." And it is well that they should. However, I have a few questions.

First, why is that I smell a liberal? Could it be that only a liberal would be foolish and cowardly enough to think that writing a letter to FBI and sending it to a newspaper is how you handle the fact that your teenager just broke three or four federal laws masquerading as Al-Qaeda?

Secondly, what would compel a group of parents to seek cover from the media, rather than an attorney unless they were a naive bunch of progressives? I really don't think that confessing to a crime in the national news is going to do much more than ensure yourself a speedy trial when the FBI catches you. An event which I am certain will come to pass.

Lastly, what ever happened to discipline? Something tells me that had these misguided parents spent as much time teaching their children morals, as they did than partaking in business with one the world's largest investment firms, this mistake may not have happened.

Of course I am just a heartless conservative, I say Buffy and Becky need to feel the swift kick of reality right in their pampered little bottoms. The last time I checked a hoax terrorist threat is still against the law. And mistake or not accountability is the paramount lesson here.

I have to chuckle. If I had perpetrated something like this when I was a teenager, my Daddy would have put me in a headlock dragged me to the jail himself. The only thing that may have been printed in any newspaper would have been my obituary.

Brainless, Godless, and Plain Wrong

Monday, August 06, 2007
I don't know why I continually submit myself to the barrage of vile rhetoric on display at blog site like the DailyKos? I guess I just love to hear the unceasing vitriol of how conservatives are close-minded, war-mongering, insensitive, uncaring, gun loving, Nazis. How we have destroyed this country with our religious beliefs, civil liberties with our War on Terrorism, and the environment with our gas guzzling SUV's. I guess we conservatives are just "Bad" people. Think I go hang me head and cry.

I have always contended that its not a matter of close mindedness that causes my opposition to the liberal views, its the fact that I have made up my mind. A stance alien to the relativistic minds of the left. To them all options must remain open, even ones that have never worked or will ever work. And its that component of the liberal mind that frightens me the most. Their naivety.

Barrack Obama and his insightful comments toward Pakistan for example. I'm sure that he factored in the anti-America factions he has incited against Pervez Musharraf who's government is already in a tenuous position. Is this the type of foreign policy genius that we need running the country? Hollywood liberals seem to to think it is, given their support for Obama.

And speaking of Hollywood liberals, Sean Penn. Penn is visiting Hugo Chavez on a journalistic mission. What exactly does a high school dropout know about journalism? He's a fairly decent actor and should stick to that. These adolescent displays of misuse of his celebrity only confirm his overt hatred of President Bush. A hatred that has become a mental disease in his case. Visiting with a vocal anti-American dictator like Chavez only marginalizes his opinions.

And opinions on Daily Kos are rampant. Anti-Semitic, Anti-military, and Anti-America are common themes. Yet every major Democratic candidate felt compelled to attend this yearly convention. Some of the statements made by them would never be uttered outside this progressive forum, especially Hillary Clinton's. I can't see how you can make statements to one group of your supporters that wouldn't dare speak to others. But that is the liberal mind, everything said is relative. In my opinion that is just plain wrong.

FISA

Saturday, August 04, 2007
Perhaps the President is on to something. If he needs to get a bill through Congress just wait until the day before they are due to go on break to ask them. Seems they always work hardest when they are about to head off for one of their many paid absences.

Even though this important legislation passed it came with a six month string attached. But at very least it is a fix that is workable, even if it will have to be brought up again to made permanent.
In all serious what needs to happen is to send FISA to the junkyard. It does not lend itself well with the rapid time frame necessary to obtain intelligence. The process is slow, outdated and an outmoded legal framework that hasn't kept abreast with technology. Imagine that, a government program that is a relic of the Cold War.

In 2007 the old system of copper wires have passed away and the era of "light" is now the standard. Faster and infinitely more reliable. It is now possible for a person in Paris to call a friend in Italy via a switch in Chicago Illinois. That is why the FISA issue was taken up.
When our soldiers obtain a cell phone number from the pocket litter of a detainee our intelligence personnel need to be able act on it. Without having to spend 48-72 hours getting permission from a FISA court judge.

I am actually amazed that this was acted upon before the congressional break. Perhaps are Democratic congress people aren't nearly concerned about this administration violating civil liberties as long as it happens in a foreign land.

Didn't Take Long

Friday, August 03, 2007
In the wake of the 35W bridge collapse it didn't take long for the liberal nutroots to start playing the blame game. And it only took a day for democrat politician to join the fray. The Iraq War and of course the President are cited as the chief conspirators.

It is sad that even before the recovery operation can be completed you have self serving individual capitalizing on this tragedy. The notion that the Iraq War is contributing to the decline of infrastructure is the worst fabrication yet.

How can a federal action be responsible for a state problem. True federal oversights and money factor into the maintenance of our highways and bridges, but the bulk of the responsibility rests with individual state government.

If this tragedy shows anything, it is the level of ineptitude that exists not just in federal bureaucracy but also on the state and local levels. Minnesota has a 2.1 billion dollar budget "surplus"! As most, not all, but most states do. Here in Indiana we are running a 600 million dollar surplus, yet residents of Aboite Township in Allen County just saw their property taxes increase 57% after a recent annexation into the City of Fort Wayne.

Are you telling me that the President of the United States is directly responsible for inspecting and repairing every piece of infrastructure in this country? If so I guess I have been calling the wrong person concerning the potholes on my drive to work. You'd think that is the case listening to the media and reading the comments from the left-o-sphere. Of course, I shouldn't be surprised they, after all, do believe that the government should handle everything.
It is just sad that an event that should bring this nation together are used as a partisan issue to divide. And using it further a political agenda is an absolute travesty. Unfortunately the current political climate we live in has no morality to prevent it.

Obama Won't Drop The Bomb-a

Thursday, August 02, 2007
This guy just isn't going to quit. His latest is that under "No" circumstances should the United States ever use nuclear weapons. Well there Barrack, there's nothing like having a few thousand one megaton paperweights laying around gathering dust, eh? Hey since we aren't going to use them maybe we can sell them to fund that multi-trillion dollar health care system you're peddling.

I am wondering, if we never should use a nuclear weapon, does that mean the two that we already used were a mistake? Is that the next brilliant statement "Mr. Foreign Policy" will make. This guy really has no clue.

I mean what has this guy really done? He a freshman Senator, before that he served in the Illinois legislature. He really hasn't governed anything and he wants to be the head of the United States government. Why? Because he looks good, has sexy girls making music videos about him, because Hollywood adores him? Not!

Obama Wants to Bomb-a Pakistan

Mr. Obama is talking tough, well tough by Democrat standards anyway. In Mr. Obama wise opinion we are fighting "on the wrong battlefield" in his considered estimation. He went on to state that he would authorize attacks in Pakistan against Al Qaeda if President.

The arrogance is amazing. Condemn the military action in Iraq as being wrong then in the same stroke issue a threat of military action in a different area. I'm sure this will set well with the anti-war crowd. Lets get the troops out of Iraq and send them to invade one of our only allies in the region. One with nuclear weapons no less. Something tells me that Pervez Musharraf wouldn't vote for Barrack Obama if he could.

His thinking is so wrongheaded its not worth commenting on. Its so wrong headed that even Hillary sees it..... and that is pretty bad.

Chief Justice Roberts

Tuesday, July 31, 2007
Well bad news for liberals Chief Justice Roberts did not expire from his seizure. Although there was a plethora of negative sentiments regarding his condition posted on the left-o-sphere by the web maggots. The Chief Justice is just fine and returning to hid vacation.

It is very sad that these misguided clowns feel that because they are protected by the anonymity of there web identities they can post such vile comments. Its worse that they are given the forum to do so. Sadly, there are plenty of places tucked away in plain sight on the net that allow these morons the venue.

The irritating thing is half of these maggots would never in a million years say the things that they write on these websites in person. They are very brave sitting alone in the dark clicking away at their keyboard in their mothers basement. But if you were to put them in a forum where they have to defend their sick views in "persona" they would probably just sit there with a stupid look on their faces and spit running down their chins.

It is sad that there are people like this. They have always been here. Its an unfortunate by product of the Internet that they now have a venue to spew their idiotic comments.
